Do the acupuncture needles hurt?

The short answer is no.  Acupuncture needles are very fine, thin, and solid and the process of needle insertion is minimally invasive.  The needles are  hardly felt upon insertion.

What should I expect?

Most patients feel very relaxed during and/or after treatment and therefore it is recommended to avoid any strenuous physical activity after an acupuncture treatment

How long are treatment sessions?

Initial Evaluation & treatment may last about 60 - 75 minutes.

Follow-up sessions may last 45 - 60 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Usually a series of treatments may be necessary.  However each case and condition is evaluated individually therefore treatment plans are  formulated accordingly.  

Does Insurance cover Acupuncture?

Most Major Medical Insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna etc) are accepted, however each individual plan is different and must be verified prior to your appointment.
